Hi, I’m Danielle. I lost a lot before going back into treatment again. But now the people in my life are so much happier. When someone like me stays sober and lives the right way, other people around me really benefit. It’s been a long way from the vicious cycle of addiction I was in.

I grew up in a home with a lot of physical and mental abuse. I hung out with older kids and began drinking at a young age. By 18 years old, I had 2 kids, and needed to grow up fast. At 20, my dad passed away and my drinking got heavier. I became a single mom, and then my kids’ father overdosed and died. A vicious cycle of heavy drugs, incarceration, and relapse followed. Finding the right program to regain my strength was a real challenge.

The Mission has made a huge difference. It’s a safe and supportive environment, and a place full of spirituality. The house helped me to find my voice, and make sure I follow through with commitments. I don’t want my children to pay the consequences for my actions, so I’m healing now. I have a lot of gratitude for this place.
